I highly doubt that you still read comments on this account but even still I'm going to write this.
This cover has captivated me ever since I saw it, I can't understand why. I just feel like I'm in that picture just behind that group of people. The atmosphere is so incredibly hopefully but also so sinister and dark. Awesome, awesome work.
If you ever read this could you please tell me the significance to you of the mansion/building on the right side of the image?
It feels haunted and dangerous like someone could be watching through the windows...would love to know more about this work.

From what I remember, the Point of view was that of someone/something sinister hiding and watching these children playing outside of their school from between the trees. The building on the right is the kids school. They are wearing the rabbit ears as sort of a talisman or symbol - even though they may not know each other, the ears are what they have in common and therefore they can come together for strength in numbers against the sinister being or force...

That in itself is the meaning of the cover and the title "Walking with strangers" - through the music and being a fan people can come together and be a part of something even though they may not know each other.

It's been a few years but from what I can remember that was the concept.

Wow! Never actually expected a reply from you but I seriously appreciate it. Can I just say that you have done something incredible with this, I don't know how you did it but everything just feels like it belongs. It is literally perfect and couldn't be improved upon. Excellent work =D

Vincent Marcone is an amazing designer. :D
Just look at him video clips, and his My Pet Skeleton workings.

Are you one of the people who actually designed the Birthday Massacre's album cover? If so, do you have other works similar that I could see?
xperim Featured By Owner Jan 18, 2010
You are correct, I designed this while working at My Pet Skeleton in 2007 :)

I have done other CD designs yes but the only one that is sort of similar is already in my DevArt Gallery, the Dreadnaut CD Design. ;)

Amazing, I've always wanted to know who designed the cover because it was a great inspiration to me :)

Ah, I had assumed that you were also behind the design of the other covers such as Violet and Nothing & Nowhere. You wouldn't happen to have the booklet designs and such anywhere would you?
xperim Featured By Owner Jan 26, 2010
Well, thank you :)

No, I did not have any part in the previous albums actually :(

I do have the booklet/traycard/cd screen but I am weary to upload them, seeing as this artwork belongs to the record label.

You can see a bit more of it here : [link]

Ok, thank you very much for answering my questions. And don't worry, I understand completely.
